Mrs. Zella Jane (Godsey) Morrow, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed from this walk of life on, Saturday, January 20, 2024, having attained the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 13 days. She was born on June 7, 1944 in the Brammer Hill Community of Wayne County, Kentucky, the daughter of Arnold & Ollie (Phillips) Godsey. She was of the Baptist Faith, worked for Gregory Shirt Factory, and loved gardening & quilting. She united in marriage to Willis Morrow on Friday, April 19, 1963, and to this union four children were born, Roger Morrow, Jesse (& Karen) Morrow, Willis Jr. (& Janet) Morrow, and Roxie (& Jim) Nevels, all of Monticello, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by, her husband, Willis Morrow, siblings, Geneva Godsey and Charity Kidd, Daughter-in-law, Norma Nevels Morrow, and grandson, Ray Allen Morrow.
Along with her children, she is survived by her siblings, Rosie Neeley of Monticello, Kentucky, Allie Meadows of Bronston, Kentucky, Helen Hicks of Eubank, Kentucky, Jimmy Godsey, Ella Thompson, and Willie Godsey, all of Monticello, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, Wesley (& Chelsea) Morrow, Justin (& Elaine) Morrow, Lucas (& Bethany) Morrow, Damica Morrow, Wiley Morrow, Jacob (& Shayla) Nevels, Willis (& Kathren) Nevels, and Ashley Marie Chasen, four great-grandchildren, Laney Morrow, Hunter Morrow, Easton Morrow, Axel Nevels & one on the way.
The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. at the Lower Turkey Creek Church, with Bro. Lonzo Tucker Jr., & Brandon Maxwell officiating. Burial was in the Isaac Tucker Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Pallbearers were Wesley Morrow, Justin Nevels, Justin Morrow, Lucas Morrow, Willis Nevels and Wiley Morrow.
