Wayne Wesley Punnett

Mr. Wayne Wesley Punnett passed away November 21, 2023, at his residence in Louisville, Kentucky having attained the age of 45 years, 9 months & 19 days. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey on Thursday, February 2, 1978, the son of William Marcy Punnett & Margie Ann (New) Punnett. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Kentucky, R O T C at U.K., and his master’s in business administration from Johns Hopkins University. He was a Captain in The United States Air Force, and was in Human Resources for Department of The Army at Ft. Knox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, William Marcy & Alaxandria (Loder) Punnett, Maternal Grandparents, George Wesley & Josie Elizabeth (Dodson) New.

He is survived by his brother, Dr. Michael (& Phoebe) Punnett of Louisville, Kentucky, Uncle, Joe Darwin (& Nida) New of Monticello, Kentucky, Aunts, Sarah Punnett, Christine (& Jim) Corio, Stephanie Punnett, uncle, Nicholas (& Selma) Punnett, Nephew, Jonah Punnett, Niece, Corrina Punnett, several cousins also survive.

     The Memorial Service was conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 12 noon in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Lathan Turner, Dr. Michael Punnett, Rev. Clarence Russell Turner III, and Susan (New) Dishman officiating, and special music by Lynn Turner. His Cremains were interred on his Mother’s grave at The Elk Springs Cemetery.  The post funeral reception was held at The Hidden Ridge Camping Lodge at 122 Cedar Lane Farm, Monticello, KY, 42633.
