Mrs. Stella Maxine (Stinson) Bertram of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, Kentucky having attained the age of 89 years and 24 days. She was born in the Sunny Brook Community of Monticello, Wayne County Kentucky on Monday, April 30, 1934, the daughter of Emmett Luster and Cora Stinson. She was a housewife, a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church, she loved quilting, and spoiling her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Bertram, whom she wed on Friday, February 12, 1954, son, James Bertram, siblings, Arnold Stinson, Pauline Burnett, Evelyn Morgan, grandson, Johnny Stinson, daughter-in-law, Fonda Stinson.
She is survived by children, Gary Stinson of Monticello, Kentucky, Lonnie (& Emma) Bertram of Paducah, Kentucky, Steve (& Betsy) Bertram, Timothy Bertram, Terry (& Christy) Bertram, Tammy (& Ricky) Dishman all of Monticello, Kentucky, Brenda (& John) Peercy of Louisville, Kentucky, 20 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service was conducted on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Earnest Mann in The Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky. Burial was in the Catron Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky with Jason Bertram officiating at graveside. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to help pay final expenses and may be left at the funeral home. Casket bearers were Donavan Stinson, Josh Bertram, Jason Bertram, Cody Dishman, Chase Dishman, Chris Lowe, Matthew Butler, honorary casket bearer Mason Bertram and Cody Roysden. New’s Monticello Funeral Home was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
