Ronnie Gene Upchurch

Mr. Ronnie Gene Upchurch, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence in Wayne County, Kentucky having attained the age of 67 years, 7 months & 17 days. He was born on Monday, May 16, 1955 in the Happy Top Community of Wayne County, Kentucky the son of Charles B. and Laney (Parmley) Upchurch. He was a Christian man of the Nazarene faith, member of the Monticello First Church of the Nazarene, and was a truck driver for CPC Logistics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Glenna Upchurch.

     He is survived by his spouse, Jackolyn (Munsey) Upchurch, of Monticello, whom he wed on Saturday, August 28, 1999, children, Ronda Upchurch, Christy Upchurch, Katrina Upchurch all of Monticello, Kentucky, step-son, Jerrad (& Jamie) DeRossett of Bowling Green, Kentucky, siblings, Roger (& Brenda) Upchurch of Monticello, Kentucky, Rita (& Michael) Latham of Arlington, Texas, Rebecca Clark of Monticello, Kentucky, Shirley (& J.B.) Johnson Ashville, North Carolina, grandchildren, Abby Davis, Mallory Davis, Molly Thompson, Devin Crabtree, Dakota Crabtree, Kaleb Crabtree, Laney Cleary, along with several other family members and many many friends.

     The Funeral Service was conducted on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. E.S.T. in The Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Kelvin Upchurch, and Pastor Kevin Murphy officiating. Casket bearers were Tyler Morrow, Tyler Lovett, Jerry Bell, Barry Harmon, Edd Decker, Ron McGinnis, Doug Stockton, and Ron Rush. Burial was in the Elks Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Monticello First Church of the Nazarene rebuild fund and may be left at the funeral home.
