Ricky Allen Crabtree

Mr. Ricky Allen Crabtree of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 29 days. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on Wednesday, February 7, 1979, the son of Cecil & Shirley (Bell) Crabtree. Ricky was of the Baptist faith a member of Cooper Baptist Church, and worked for Wayne Hardwood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tracy Allen Crabtree.

He is survived by his parents, Cecil & Shirley (Bell) Crabtree, wife, Amanda Bryant Crabtree, whom he wed on, Friday, October 13, 2006, children, Megan Crabtree, Nicole Crabtree, and April Crabtree, siblings, Ruth (Crabtree) Jones, and Chris (& Shiana) Crabtree, several nieces & nephews, 3 great-nieces, 1 great-great-nephew, and 1 on the way.

The funeral service was conducted on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of the New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Dunagan, and Bro. Jimmy Dishman officiating. Burial was in the Crabtree Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Timmy Crabtree, Johnny Wayne Crabtree, Timothy T.A. Crabtree, Patrick Jones, Josh Brooks, Megan Crabtree, and William Crabtree. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Ricky Crabtree Memorial Fund c/o New’s Monticello Funeral Home.
