Mr. Paul Dean Bertram, Sr. of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Mountain Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Monticello, Kentucky, having attained the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 9 days. He was born on Thursday, September 19, 1940, in Monticello, Kentucky, the son of Sherman & Lola Lois (Walters) Bertram. He was of the Christian faith, and a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a retired transporter for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Dean Bertram, Jr., siblings, Wayne Bertram, James Bertram, Loretta Catron and Janice Carrender.
He is survived by his children, Charles (& Karen) Bertram of Louisville, Kentucky, Rhonda (& David) Bell of Monticello, Kentucky, Tod (& Leah) Bertram of Somerset, Kentucky, Melissa Bertram (& Bub Davis) of Nashville, Tennessee, Jaimee (& Heath) Duncan of Madisonville, Kentucky; sister, Vera Burke of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Shaundrea (& Chris) Sims, Shane (& Leah) Bertram, Samuel Bertram, Ryan (& Hannah) Bertram, Rachel Bertram, Shelby (& Rebekah) Bell, Camrin (& Taylor) Bell, Michaela Bell, Drew Bell (& Mary Morgan), Whitney Bell, Matthew Bertram, Emily (& Tyler) Stevens, Rylan Bertram, Emma Duncan, Greta Duncan; great-grandchildren, Mason, Megan, Jaxon, Eden, Hayden Sims, Hailey, Kenzie, Ty Bertram, Lylia, Elynore, Lochlyn Bell, Keldon Garcia, Eliza Bell, Mary Louise Bell, Addie Kate and Cooper Stevens.
The funeral service was conducted on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 am E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Burkes officiating. Burial was in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Shane Bertram, Samuel Bertram, Ryan Bertram, Matthew Bertram, Rylan Bertram, Shelby Bell, Camrin Bell, and Drew Bell.
New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky, was honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
