Nola J. (Abbott) Neal

Mrs. Nola J. (Abbott) Neal, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 01, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 82 years, 10 months and 26 days.  She was born in the Slick Ford Community of Wayne County, Kentucky on Sunday, November 05, 1939, the daughter of Will McKinley and Arlie (Goodman) Abbott. She was of the Baptist faith, and she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmy Glen Neal, children, Roy Wallen, Eugene Abbott, roger Dale Pittman, Barbara Bratcher, brothers, Ronnie Abbott, Earl Abbott, half-brothers, Lee Wallace, James Wallace.

     She is survived by her children, Jackie Abbott, Maybelle Hicks (& Jimmy Vaughn), Judy Wombles (& Lester West), Mary (& Bobby) Troxell, David Wallen all of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Lola Faye Foster, Lonnie Abbott, William Abbott, Don Abbott all of Monticello, Kentucky, grandchildren, Shawn Troxell, Stacie Foster, Chris Wombles, Michael Wombles, Eric Wallen, Joseph Hicks, Charles Hicks, Brandon Bratcher, 13 great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members and many friends.

     The funeral service was conducted Thursday, October 06, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Burkes officiating. Casket bearers were Shawn Troxell, Michael Wombles, Chris Wombles, Lester West, Joseph Hicks, Dustin Foster, and Dustin Foster. Burial was in the Taylors Grove Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky.
