Mr. Larry Simpson, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his residence in Monticello, Kentucky having attained the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 27 days. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on Monday, August 22, 1960, the son of Frank and Frances (Woody) Simpson. He was of the Baptist faith, member of the Lower Turkey Creek Baptist Church, and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 He is survived by his wife, Sheila (New) Simpson of Monticello, Kentucky, whom he wed on Friday, October 28, 1983, children, Whitney (& Shawn) Dick of Shopville, Kentucky, Thomas Simpson (& finance Makayla Jones) of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Reed (& Marilyn) Simpson of Monticello, Kentucky, Kenny (& Shawna) Simpson of Somerset, Kentucky, Betty Simpson of Somerset, Kentucky.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Regiel New officiating. Casket bearers were Byron Gregory, Matthew Bryant, Kevin Simpson, Adam Simpson, Andrew Simpson, and Derek Vaughn. Burial was in the Clay Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
