Larry Dean Brummett

Mr. Larry D. Brummett, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky having attained the age of 65 years, 8 months, and 26 days. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on Monday, October 8 , 1956, the son of Marsh & Ruth Ann (Savage) Brummett. He was of the Baptist faith, owner & operator of Brummett’s Tire Sales for over 35 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Mary Ann Brummett, three brothers, Jimmie Brummett, David Brummett & Tommy Brummett.

        He is survived by his wife, Lorene (Lowe) Brummett, whom he wed on Saturday, September 15, 1973, children, Larry Jason Brummett of Albany, Kentucky, Bryan Brummett, Kristy (& Michael) Worley, Sandra Michelle Brummett, Tracie Diane Brummett (& Michael Phelps), all of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Lois Upchurch of Indiana, Johnny Brummett, Danny (& Mary) Brummett, Gary (& Lois) Brummett, Brenda (& John) Glover, Betty Brummett Downs, Margaret (& Carter) Dobbs, Judy Dunagan, sisters-in-law, Sally Brummett & Jewel Lowe, all of Monticello, Kentucky, grandchildren, Jackson, Olivia, Kayson, Mikayla, & Parker Jane.     

     The funeral service was conducted on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Dewey Burke & Bro. Phillip Duncan officiating. Burial was in the L & L Family Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were, Oren Stinson, Oren Stinson, Jr., Frank Brummett, Roger Brummett, Ron Dishman & Randy Dishman. New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all arrangements.
