Lana Yvonne (Parmley) Branscum

Mrs. Lana Yvonne (Parmley) Branscum, of Wayne County, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Rockcastle Regional Medical Center in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky having attained the age of 68 years, 2 months and 22 days.  She was born in the Parnell Community of Wayne County, Kentucky on Sunday, July 5, 1953, the daughter of Narvel and Thelma (Stephenson) Parmley. She was of the Church of God Faith, work her whole life and raised two families, loved sewing, painting, fishing, camping and anything to do with nature. In addition to his father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Melinda Jill Richardson, brothers, Jeffery Allen Parmley, Richard Dale Parmley.

    She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Branscum. Mother, Thelma (Stephenson) Parmley, children, Anita Richardson (& Garrett) Coffey of Monticello, Kentucky, Christopher Branscum of Monticello, Kentucky, James Branscum of Monticello, Kentucky, Robin Branscum (& Stacey) Duncan of Monticello, Kentucky, Crystal Branscum of Richmond, Kentucky, Whitney Spencer Sullivan of Monticello, Kentucky, William Chase (& Kortney) Spencer of Lincoln Co. Kentucky, siblings, Linda K Sheppard, Marilyn Parmley (& Larry) Muse, Curtis Parmley all of Monticello, Kentucky, grandchildren, Letitia Parmley, Jayden Richardson, Haydn Randolph, Braden Branscum, Kalin Duncan, Great-grandchildren, Jaylin Marquez, November Marquez, Grayson Sullivan, Aurora Valazquez, along with a host of other family members.

     The funeral service was conducted Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky with Bro. Walter Bell officiating. Casket bearers were William Spencer, Whitney Spencer, Stacey Duncan, Quinton Stringer, Bradford Southwood, Garrett Coffey. Burial was in the Parnell Methodist  Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. New’s Monticello Funeral Home of Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
