Junior E. Guffey

Mr. Junior Earl Guffey, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at The Medical Center of Albany in Albany, Kentucky having attained the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 9 days. He was born on Sunday, August 19, 1934 in Clinton County, Kentucky, the son of Lewis Taylor & Bertha Ellen (Lowe) Guffey. He was a self employed farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gladys, Lee, Ora, Fannie, Cora, Hattie, Beverly, Robert, Hershell, John Henry, Joe, Donald, son-in-law, Bro. Danny Duvall.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Ann (Bass) Guffey, whom he wed on Saturday, October 26, 1955, children, Joyce Ann Guffey of Monticello, Kentucky, Shelia Kay Duvall of Albany, Kentucky, David Earl (& Lottie) Guffey of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Martha Coy, Maxine Perdue both of Albany, Kentucky, grandchildren, Angela Floyd (& John) Burke, Christopher Chad Duvall, Jonathan Earl Guffey, Joshua Eric (& Sara) Guffey, great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Stearns, Bailey Owen (& Lacinda) Jones, Brianna Burke, Joseph Burke, Caleb Guffey, Kaiti Guffey, Grayson Guffey, Addie Guffey, great-great-grandchild, Jeriah Jones.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in The Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Stearns, and Bro. Scott Jones officiating. Casket bearers were Bailey Jones, Jonathan Guffey, Josh Guffey, Chad Duvall, Josh Burkes, Caleb Guffey. Burial was in the Davis Chapel Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky. New’s Monticello Funeral Home of Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
