Jimmy Kay Hancock

Bro. Jimmy Kay Hancock, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 78 years, 4 months, and 20 days. He was born on Sunday, August 15, 1943 in the Powersburg Community of Wayne County, Kentucky, the son of Bessie Hancock.. He was of the Baptist Faith, member of 2nd St. Baptist Church, and had preached and numerous other churches. He was preceded in death by his mother, son, Gary Hancock, siblings, Ada Burkes, Micky Hancock, Kenny Hancock.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Neal) Hancock of Monticello, Kentucky, whom he wed on Saturday, April 5, 1969, daughter, Melissa Tillman of Lexington, Kentucky, siblings, Joan Loy, Cecil Hancock, David Hancock, Neva Wilson, Sheila Hancock, grandchildren, Xavier Tillman, Garrett Hancock.

The funeral services for Bro. Jimmy Kay Hancock was conducted on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. William C. Hicks officiating. Casket bearers were Xavier Tillman, Garrett Hancock, Monty Neal, Jeff Denney, Mike Neal, and Roger Neal. Burial was in the Edwards Chapel Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of all the arrangements.
