Jacob Duesenberry Obituary

Jacob Michael Duesenberry, 14 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, passed away  October 6, 2023.

Jacob was born July 23, 2009, in Delaware, Ohio and raised in Lorain, attending Lorain County JVS to study construction. 

Jacob enjoyed playing Xbox with his friends and his online community. Along with Xbox, he had a deep interest in history, especially the era of WWII history and the sinking of the Titanic. He also enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, and a specific interest in tanks both old and modern. He recently took an interest in football (NFL) and in construction. Jacob will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and grandson and deeply missed for the joy and love he brought to the family.  

Survivors include his parents, Steven Michael and Jessica Nicole Duesenberry (Godsey) of Lorain; his sister, Paige Marie Duesenberry of Lorain; his paternal grandparents; Bob and Margie Duesenberry of Senecaville, OH and his maternal grandfather Ronald "Ronnie" Godsey and step-grandmother, Mary Kay Godsey of Lorain; his step-grandfather Rocky J. Toler of Hazard, KY; as well his aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

He was preceded by his Great-Great-Grandparents, Hurstle & Desda (New) Godsey, maternal grandmother, Connie Jean Toler on November 9, 2020.
 
Friends may call Thursday, 12, 2023, from 4- 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst.   Funeral services will be held the following morning at 11 a.m. at Hempel Funeral Home. Rebroadcasting of services will be available at www.hempelfuneralhome.com . Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst, Ohio.
