Mr. Floyd E. Perkins, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023 at his residence, in Monticello, Kentucky having attained the age of 83 years. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, on Thursday, February 22nd, 1940, to Nim & Ethel (Jones) Perkins. Mr. Perkins was of the Baptist faith and worked as a grader operator for Martin County Florida Highway Department for many years. He was proceeded in death by his Parents Nim & Ethel (Jones) Perkins, Wife Inaleen Perkins, Daughter, Jackie Phipps, Siblings, Andy Perkins, Maria Perkins Geneva Perkins, Vangie Perkins, Gilbert Perkins, Martha Reynolds, Lutie Hicks, and Smiley Perkins.

He is survived by his Children, Jonathan (Jeanette) Perkins of Florida, Carolyn (Don) Mitchell of Monticello, Kentucky, Jamie Ford of Somerset, Kentucky, Donnie Ford of Danville, Kentucky, Siblings Bonnie Hicks of Monticello, Kentucky, Grandchildren, Travis, Brianna, Eva, Lexie, Makenzy, Leena, Liliana, Rosa, Lisa, Anna, Kendra, Heather, Scott, Kayla, Kyle, DJ, Makayla, Selena, Nicole, Great-Grandchildren Klayton, Kaleb, Alexsis, Alyssia, Aubree, Ryan, Hayden, Landan, Paxton, Prezley, Kolton, and Jayden.

The Funeral Service was conducted on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Powell and Bro. Jimmy Decker Officiating.  Burial followed at Barrier Cemetery in Wayne County. The family will received friends after 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the Funeral Home and again at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 until the funeral hour.  Casket bearers were Kenny Hicks, Danny Hicks, Leena Perkins, Lily Perkins, Robert Bridgeman, and James Ford. New's Monticello Funeral Home was honored to be in charge of the arrangements.
