Doris Elaine (Waters) Foster

Ms. Doris Elaine (Waters) Foster of Pulaski County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday March 23, 2026, at the Signature Health and Rehabilitation in Pine Knot, Kentucky, having attained the age of 70 years and 22 days. She was born on February 29, 1956, in Science Hill, Kentucky the daughter of Roy & Dorothy Lesteen (Harrison) Waters. Doris was of the Christian faith, loved planting and working with her flowers, watching and feeding humming birds and spoiling her fur baby Peanut. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Russell Waters, Emory Abbott, Daniel Abbott, special aunt & uncle, Bud & Loreen Abbott, who raised her after the passing of her mother.

She is survived by her siblings, Connie Foster, Nova (& Larry) Calhoun, both of Somerset, Kentucky, Robin Marlene (& Willis) Rose, Rachel Keith, both of Monticello, Kentucky, Jerry Abbott of Science Hill, Kentucky; nieces & nephews, Richard Allen Foster, Bradley Zane Foster, Brian Calhoun, April (& Shane) Smith, Desiree Calhoun; great-nieces & nephews, Isabella Rose, Adam James, Kadin Zane, Lucas Wayne, Wyatt Easton, Nykolas Cole, Noah, Brian, Mckinze, Marishka, Jasmine, Exavier, Demetrius; and several cousins and friends.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday March 28, 2026, at 12:00 noon EST in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Foster and officiating. Burial was in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Science Hill, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Brad Foster, Travis Rose, Rich Foster, Jacob Kidd, Kadin Foster, Lucas Foster, and Nykolas Foster. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Doris Foster Memorial Fund, c/o New’s Monticello Funeral Home.
