Donald "Don" Mitchell

Mr. Donald “Don” Mitchell of Monticello, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, having attained the age of 65 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He was born in Bloomington, Indiana on Thursday, August 20, 1959, the son of Arthur Riley and Mildred (Hord) Mitchell. Don was of Christian faith who dedicated his career to the construction industry. He took great pride in building and found joy in using his skills to help others. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Perkins) Mitchell, whom he wed on Friday, December 2, 2005, daughters, Kayla (& Nathan) Lazar of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Kendra (& Carl) Pittinger of Fountain, Colorado, Anna (& William) Dunson of West Palm Beech, Florida, Lisa (& Rafa) Dunson/ Alvarez of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Heather (& Trint) Morris of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, siblings, Robert Archie (& Bridget) Mitchell of Columbus, Indiana, Maggie (& Les) Lester of Beech Grove, Indiana, grandchildren, Alexsis, Alyssia, Kaleb, Lily, Leena, McKenzy, Rosa, Prezly, Paxton, Aubree, Ryan, Hayden, and Landon.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
