Dennis Roba Acrey

Mr. Dennis Roba Acrey of Alpha, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at his residence, in the Alpha Community of Clinton County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 70 years, 11 months, and 4 days. He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on Monday, September 21, 1953, the son of Roba & Ruth (Guffey) Acrey. He was of the Christian faith, worked as a self-employed carpenter, and loved riding horses, and spoiling his grandkids. In addition to his father, Roba Acrey, He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bill Morris, and nephew, Dewayne Patton.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth (Guffey) Acrey, daughter, Kayla (& Austin) Shelton of Alpha, Kentucky, sisters, Gewendaline Leffew of Indiana, Josephine Morris of Monticello, Kentucky, brother, Tommy Acrey of Oklahoma, grandchildren, Logan Shelton, Allen Shelton, and Shawn Shelton.

The funeral service was conducted on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of the New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Bertram officiating. Burial was in the Choate Cemetery, in Clinton County, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Chris Acrey, Jonathan Dobbs, Derik Dobbs, Dennis Acrey, Austin Shelton, and Doug Acrey. Honorary Casket Bearers were Logan Shelton, Allen Shelton, and Shawn Shelton.
