Charlie Kay Stockton

Mr. Charlie Kay Stockton, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 76 years, 8 months and 30 days.  He was born in Monticello, Kentucky on Saturday, October 27, 1945, the son of Charlie R. and Ila (Guffey) Stockton. He was a Christian, a carpenter working with K.C. Construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ellen Stockton, siblings, Gaye, Shelia, John, Bob, Donnie.

     He is survived by his wife, Sue Stockton whom he wed Thursday, March 20, 1965, some 57 years ago, children, Kimberly Stockton of London, Kentucky, Shane (& Mary Beth) Stockton of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Mary Sue, Lois, Sharon, Kathy, Daphne, grandchildren, Ryan (& Emily) Butcher, Morgan (& Jake) Albertson, Zoe Stockton, Haley Stockton, Cooper Stockton, great-grandchildren, Knoa Albertson, Finley Butcher, Rowan Butcher, Audrey Albertson.  

     The funeral service was conducted Friday, July 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home in Monticello, Kentucky with Bro. Michael Smedley officiating. Casket bearers were Daniel Tuggle, Zac Crouch, Ryan Butcher, Jake Albertson, Eli Brown, and Quinton Brown. Burial was in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky.
