Carrie Tucker Obituary

Carrie Amanda Morgan Tucker passed away suddenly in her home on December 3, 2023. Carrie is survived by her loving, devoted husband Donovan Tucker and jewel of her life Claire Alyson Tucker. Carrie was a sweet, precious little girl who grew into an amazing, compassionate, reliable, faithful, loyal and thoughtful Christian woman. She graduated from Cartersville High School in 1993 where she was active in Flag Corp and the CHS Lady Canes Tennis Team. She went on to play many years in the ALTA adult tennis league. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Floyd College and attended West Georgia College.

In her career, she worked full time in the car title business with several businesses and her stepfather, Larry Waddell several days a week. She had begun to work with Outdoor Buildings, a job that she really enjoyed as well. The focus of Carrie’s life was her family and her church. She attended Cartersville First Baptist Church and Atco Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved in any and most church activities. If she wasn’t at church with Donovan and Claire, she was in the bleachers watching Claire participate in her activities or supporting the Cartersville Canes. She was the 2023-24 Vice President of the Cartersville High School PTC and had assumed that she would move into the President Role in 2024-2025. She was always willing and volunteering to pick up her friends’ children if needed, offering to help in any activity, and always with a smile.

Carrie is predeceased by her grandparents Doc and Peggy Mathison, Chuck and Shirley Morgan, and father-in-law Bob Adams. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Donovan Tucker, her daughter Claire Alyson Tucker, her mom and stepfather Teresa (Mathison) and Larry Waddell, dad and stepmother Bob and Wanda Morgan, mother-in-law Linda Adams, father-in-law Robert and Debra Tucker, and brother Robert (Tiffany) Morgan. Also surviving are brothers Tony Wolfe and Paul Waddell (Wendy), sisters Dani Hammond (Sam), Dondra Perkins (Landon), and Angel Simms (Britt), brother-in-law Donnie Adams, and sister-in-law Staci Adams. Nieces surviving her are Grace Adams, Sydney Lowerance, Emberly Perkins, Norah Hammon, Victoria Waddell Mitchell (Jeff), Layla Morgan, Lainey Simms, Danielle Tucker, Deanne Tucker, Olivia Tucker, and Chloe Warren, nephews Eli Hammon, Barrett Hester, Evan Hester, Lincoln Perkins, Evan Simms, and Tyler Waddell (Megan), aunts and uncles Martha Cornelius, Bruce (Beth) Mathison, and Philip (Susie) New, and special cousins Ben Mathison, Blair Mathison and her son Chandler.
