Brenda Elaine Neal

      Ms. Brenda Elaine Neal, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky, having attained the age of 76 years, 1 month and 30 days.  She was born in the Cabell Grove community of Wayne County, Kentucky on Sunday, April 1, 1945, the daughter of Lawrence Mikel & Goldie (Neal) Wallen. She was of the Methodist faith, a caretaker for many in the community. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her companion, Dallas Denney, brother Kenny Wallen. She is survived by her son, Dallas Denney of Monticello, Kentucky, brother Darrell Gene Wallen of Monticello, Kentucky, along with many other family members and friends.  The funeral service was conducted Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. David Bowlin officiating. Casket bearers were Steve Brumley, Jeff Brumley, Rick Cross, John Garner, R.J. Cross, Jim Hurt. Burial was in the Cabell Grove Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. In lieu of Flowers donations are appreciated to help with final expenses and may be brought to the funeral home. New’s Monticello Funeral Home of Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
