Bobby Ray Shedd

Mr. Bobby Ray Shedd of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at his residence in Wayne County, Kentucky, having attained the age of 85 years, 9 months & 16 days. He was born on Wednesday, December 28, 1938, in Cullman, Alabama, the son of Finis & Dessie (Hale) Shedd. Bobby proudly served in the United States Air Force, was of the Baptist Faith, a member of Steubenville Baptist Church, worked as a barber in Alabama for many years, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1962. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Hugh Shedd, brother, Willard Shedd, and sister, Betty Sue Shedd.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Faye (Dodson) Shedd, whom he wed on Friday, November 12, 1965, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Joshua Steele officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky. Casket Bearers were Bobbie Turner, Ray Turner, Chris Dobbs, and Mevil Dishman.
