Betty Joyce (Martin) Anderson

Mrs. Betty Joyce (Martin) Anderson of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her residence, having attained the age of 86 years, and 10 days.  She was born in the Steubenville Community of Wayne County, Kentucky on Friday, July 5, 1935, the daughter of Sheard William & Eva Jane (Coffey) Martin. She was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Steubenville Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lee Anderson, whom she wed in 1951, son, Roger Dale Anderson, brother, Hayden Martin.

     She is survived by her children, Wanda Miller, Danny Ray Anderson, Calvin (& Lisa) Anderson, Becky Stringer, Melva Bolen all of Monticello, Kentucky, siblings, Nona Humble of Monticello, Kentucky, Anna Miller of Danville, Kentucky, Lila Crabtree of Monticello, Kentucky, grandchildren, Teresa Miller, Dale Miller, Matthew Anderson, Derekia Daffron, Ericka Decker, Chasidy Williams, Lisa Anderson, Brian Anderson, Danny Anderson II, along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

     The funeral service was conducted Monday, July 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Bell officiating. Casket bearers were Cody Daffron, Homer Decker, Matthew Anderson, Brian Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Dillon Anderson. Burial was in the Dodson Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Dodson Cemetery Fund and may be left at the funeral home. New’s Monticello Funeral Home of Monticello, Kentucky was honored to be in charge of arrangements.
