Arvie E. Piercy, 66, of Monticello, KY, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024. Born to Herbert & Gather (Stinson) Piercy on March 2, 1958, in the Slickford community of Wayne County Kentucky, Arvie lived a full life marked by a deep love for his family, friends, and the simple joys that brought him comfort and happiness. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty (Sidwell) Piercy, his son, Eddie E. Piercy, and his beloved parents.
Arvie found meaning in a life of quiet, simple pleasures. A perfect day for him was spent fishing, working on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family. He especially looked forward to his weekly visits to his grandson, Dakota’s shop, where they often met with Arvie’s son, Allen. They shared time together and Arvie offered his wisdom and humor. He loved talking politics, swapping stories, and life lessons with his granddaughter, Madelynne. Arvie cared for his family deeply. Any time the phone rang or he saw one of their vehicles pulling into his driveway you would find Arvie happy to sit and chat endlessly. His devotion and love for his little dog Anne, his constant companion, was unwavering. Arvie’s legacy of love, loyalty, hard work, and a little bit of orneriness will forever be remembered by all who knew him. A true testament to family, Arvie’s presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Arvie leaves behind three sons: Allen (& Shirley) Boils, Troy Boils, both of Albany, Kentucky, and Ronald (& Rhonda) Boils of Fort Myers, Florida, and his cherished grandchildren, Josh (& Megan) Asberry, Dakota (& LeAnn) Boils, Lindsey Boils, Brandon Boils, and Madelynne Piercy. Arvie leaves his siblings: Carolyn (& Arnold) Rhoades, Arlie (& Debbie) Piercy, Charlotte (& Melvin) Rose, and Gary (& Michelle) Piercy. Arvie is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that miss him dearly.
