Mrs. Ann Elizabeth (Smith) Fletcher, of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at her residence in Wayne County, Kentucky having attained the age of 79 years, 3 months and 16 days. She was born in Montgomery, Alabama on Tuesday, September 22, 1942, the daughter of John Sam and Elizabeth (Sumpter) Smith. She was of the Christian faith, member of the First Christian Church, member of the Wayne County Womans Club, Optimist Club, volunteered at the resource center in the Monticello School District, the Nursery at the First Christian Church, an educator, a homemaker, was a bookkeeper for the F. & H. Drug Store,and worked alongside her husband at F. & H. Drug Store in Monticello, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jay Smith, daughter, Caryn Fletcher, father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Bercie (Wray) Fletcher.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Raymond Fletcher of Monticello, Kentucky whom she wed on Sunday, October 1, 1961, children, Caryl Ann Fletcher of Monticello, Kentucky, Jonathan (& Kate) Fletcher of Lexington, Kentucky, James Fletcher of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Brit Roberts, Addison Fletcher, Jack Fletcher, Max Fletcher, good friend, Mary McCutchen.
The Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in The First Christian Church, Monticello, Kentucky with Bro Joe Tipton officiating. The Family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service time at the Church. In lieu of flowers donations are family request donations to the First Christian Church Mission Fund and may be left at the church.
